Footsy User Guide

Everything you need to know about creating leagues, competing with your FPL team, and winning USDC prizes.

Getting Started

Go from zero to competing in four quick steps.

Sign Up

Click Log In in the top-right corner and authenticate with your email, Google, or any supported social login via Privy. An account is created automatically.

Link Your FPL ID

Navigate to your Profile and enter your FPL Manager ID. Footsy verifies your team name to ensure you own the account. This links your real FPL performance to the platform.

Set Up Your Wallet

A gasless smart wallet is created for you automatically on sign-up. You can deposit USDC to start entering paid leagues. No gas fees required — all transactions are sponsored.

Join Your First League

Head to the Dashboard and browse public leagues, or create your own. Once you join, your FPL gameweek points are automatically tracked.

Your smart wallet is the key to entering paid leagues and collecting winnings.

Depositing USDC

Click Deposit in the header or on your profile page. Send USDC (Polygon Amoy) to the displayed wallet address. Your balance updates automatically once the transaction confirms on-chain.

Withdrawing USDC

Navigate to your profile and click Withdraw. Enter the destination address and amount. The transfer is executed through your smart account — no gas required on your end.

Gasless Transactions

All on-chain actions (joining leagues, claiming winnings, withdrawals) are completely gasless. Footsy sponsors every transaction through ZeroDev account abstraction, so you never need MATIC in your wallet.

Create a League

Set up a league tailored to your group. Configure the rules, set the stakes, and invite your friends.

League Type

Classic or Head-to-Head

Classic ranks by total points. H2H pairs managers each gameweek.

Wager Amount

USDC entry fee

Each manager pays this amount to join. Set to 0 for free leagues.

Scoring Window

Gameweek range

Choose which gameweeks the league runs across (e.g. GW20–GW38).

Payout Structure

Winner-take-all or split

Decide how the prize pot is distributed among top finishers.

Max Players

2–50 managers

Limit how many people can join your league.

Visibility

Public or Private

Public leagues appear in the browse list. Private leagues require a code.

Creation Fee

A small creation fee is charged when deploying a league smart contract. This covers the on-chain deployment cost and is non-refundable.

Join a League

Find and join leagues that match your play style and budget.

Browse Leagues

Open the Dashboard and explore public leagues. Filter by league type, wager amount, or available spots.

Check Requirements

Review the entry fee, gameweek window, and max players. Ensure your wallet has enough USDC to cover the wager.

Join & Approve

Click Join League. If it’s a paid league, you’ll approve a USDC transfer to the league smart contract. Your entry is confirmed once the transaction settles.

Your USDC is held in the on-chain league contract — not by Footsy. Winnings are distributed automatically when the league ends.

Quickly narrow down your leagues by status. The Won tab highlights leagues where you have unclaimed winnings.

Stats Overview

See your total winnings, active leagues count, current gameweek points, and overall rank at a glance. Click into any league card to view the full leaderboard, gameweek breakdown, and payout details.

Sorting & Search

Sort leagues by wager amount, start date, or number of members. Use the search bar to find leagues by name.

Chat

Talk tactics, trash-talk rivals, and stay connected in real time.

Global Chat

Open to everyone on the platform. Discuss general FPL strategy, share news, or find new league-mates.

League Chat

Private to league members. Appears automatically when you join a league. Great for banter with your direct rivals.

Direct Messages

Message any user privately. Start a DM from their profile or from a league’s member list.

Fan Zone

AI-powered tools to help you gain an edge over the competition.

AI Transfer Suggester

Enter your FPL team ID and the suggester analyses your squad composition, upcoming fixtures, form, and expected points. It recommends optimal transfers to maximise your gameweek score — including captain picks and chip strategy.

This feature is in early access and may change.

Make match-result predictions for upcoming Premier League fixtures. Earn prediction points alongside your FPL score. Prediction accuracy is tracked on your profile and may be integrated into future league scoring modes.

Profile

Manage your identity, wallet, and FPL connection.

FPL Manager ID

View or update your linked FPL ID. Footsy uses this to pull your live gameweek scores.

Wallet Address

Your smart account address on Polygon Amoy. Share this to receive USDC deposits from external wallets.

Export Private Key

Export your embedded wallet’s private key for use in MetaMask or other external wallets. Keep it safe — anyone with the key controls the wallet.
